Mrs Elizabeth Caulker is Head of Training and Leadership Development at Teach For Sierra Leone. Her passion for high quality education in Sierra Leone led her into the teaching profession. She has taught in both government and private schools for over three decades, rising to the rank of Principal. She nurtured and developed many students and teachers, most of whom are well placed in Society. Mrs Caulker holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours in English Language and Literature from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, and a Higher Teachers Certificate from Milton Margai Teachers College.

Mrs Caulker was a Lead National Consultant in the development of the school curriculum and Lesson Plans in order to improve learning outcomes in Sierra Leone. She has also been engaged in drawing up examination questions, moderation, supervision and marking of scripts for all public exams in Sierra Leone namely: National Primary School Examination- (NPSE), Basic Education Certificate Exams (BECE), and the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). She has written a book of stories and poems on Ebola that currently serves as a supplementary textbook for children in Sierra Leone.

Elizabeth is excited about giving children in Sierra Leone an opportunity to attain excellent education that will grant them a bright future irrespective of their socio-economic status, geographical location or gender. She relishes the opportunity of serving not only as an advocate for education equity, but also transferring knowledge, skills and experiences to improve learning outcomes for children in Sierra Leone.
